A George III silver cube-shaped tea caddy in the form of a tea chest, by Aaron Lestourgeon, London, 1771 Engraved with guilloche borders, capped by a bud finial, timbered sides and cover, the sides engraved with pseudo-Chinese characters and floral drapery around the keyhole, inside of cover engraved with large contemporary foliated initial 'E', engraved scratch-weight to base '12-3',  fully marked on base, lion passant and maker's mark in cover, 9cm. high, 9.5cm. wide, 11.6oz. (362 gm.)
