An early 19th century mahogany table timepiece with alarm by Frodsham, Gracechurch St, London
The backplate punch-numbered 21273, the rectangular case with ivory finial, side handles and feet, the 5 1/2" arched painted dial with alarm setting subsidiary over the Roman chapter ring, with matching moon hands, the single gut fusee movement with bottle-shaped plated united by four slender knopped pillars, with anchor escapement, the alarm sounding on the bell above, 42cm high.
NB: Requires a CITES license if exported outside the EU
The US Government has banned the import of ivory so this cannot be exported to the USA
