An extremely heavy cast silver statuette of Prime Minister Winston Churchill during the years of the Second World War, said to be standing on the hills of Dover looking out across the Channel towards occupied Europe, modelled by Richard Price, a prize-winning exhibitor at Goldsmiths Hall, manufactured by Da-mar Silverware, London, 1977 

Depicted in Homburg hat, pinstripe  three-button, single-breasted suit and bow tie, one hand in pocket, the other holding a cane, on simulated rocky base, 25 cm. high, approx. 152 oz. (approx. 4712 gm.).

Provenance:

Bought by the vendor's father in January, 1978 from G. H. Presley & Sons, Jewellers, of Worthing and stated to be the only one made with the special Queen's Silver Jubilee hallmark in a letter of February, 1978 to the vendor's father from David Shaw Silverware Ltd. of Clerkenwell Road, London.
