Our auctions are led by a team of approachable and highly experienced specialists.

Our Live Auctions take place in two Henley-on-Thames venues. We encourage clients to visit the auction listing on our site to confirm the venue for the specific Live Auction. In the days leading up to our Live Auctions and the closing of our Timed Auctions the full contents of the auction are available for viewing. We invite existing and new buyers to attend these viewings, the dates and times for which are published with the auction listing on our site.

Our Timed Auctions take place on our site, and online browsing and bidding is typically available for 14 days.

We promote our auctions through advertisements in local and national publications, social media posts and newsletters sent out to our worldwide database of private and dealer buyers.

In addition to selling in our auctions, The Pedestal Shop provides access to the specialist retail market where products may be purchased online by clients immediately. We also upload our Shop items to our store front hosted by 1stDibs - one of the market’s leading platforms with access to a wide-reaching, global client base.

Property for sale either at auction or in the Shop will be added to your account and you will be issued with a contract to review, sign and return to us. Once instructed we will enter the items accordingly for you.

We will be happy to assist in arranging a transport quote for your items to be brought to our premises. We use several firms on a regular basis and we are also familiar with many of the international removal and shipping companies.  

Payment for your items sold in our auctions or in the Shop will be transferred to you less our fees covering commission and other auction related charges 28 days after the sale has taken place, or in the case of items sold in the Shop, 28 days after completion of the transaction with the buyer.
