Further information

Retaining their original gilt surface, the easels have acquired a rich, mellow patina over more than a century, with gentle wear that enhances their authentic character. The folding rear supports allow them to be adjusted for display, making them ideal for paintings, icons, photographs, mirrors, books or decorative plaques.

Both sculptural and functional, these finely carved easels epitomise the exuberant craftsmanship of late nineteenth-century Italian decorative arts. Their elegant proportions and warm gilded finish make them equally at home in classical, eclectic and contemporary interiors.
