We offer a selection of carpets and rugs in our auctions, ranging from Kashan, Mahal, Tabriz and Heriz carpets from Persia to the tribal styles of the Caucasus ● From room sized pieces to useful runners in a wide variety of colourways, we are available to assist you in sourcing and choosing the right rug or carpet for your interior ● Carpets you may wish to sell can largely be assessed from images and we are happy to advise on the origin, date and value of your pieces ● The market for carpets and rugs is partly driven by fashions in interior decoration and we can advise on the current market conditions for particular pieces ● We can also advise on condition and cleaning bearing in mind some rugs and carpets are now more commercial showing some wear rather than being completely restored ● We also handle tapestries which remain popular with a wide cross section of our buyers ● Showing right: A Doruksh carpet, Khorassan, circa 1900, sold for £6,200
